Garfield Minus Garfield is a novel idea which sometime creates humor. The website says they now deal with schizophrenia, bipolor disorder, and the empty desperation of modern life. Here a my favorite.

Steve Gerber is Dead
He Died of Pnemonia while on the waiting list for a lung transplant.
There is a nice write up

He was the best and most experimental of the early 70s comic writer.
